The composition of the circuit and its functions are as follows:
1. Circuit components:
- 10 fitted metal rails
- 3 classic curved rails
- 1 switch
- 1 shed

2. Operation:
- The circuit is oval in shape and has a mountain-type slope.
- There are two mechanical steam locomotives: one with a tender and a tractor locomotive.
- The passenger wagon accompanies the locomotive with tender.
- The circuit is closed by a switch which directs the trains towards the hangar.

3. Working principle:
- The first train sets off by climbing the sloping portion of the circuit.
- Once the route is completed, on the return journey, the first train passes the switch.
- The switch is designed to operate a lever.
- This lever allows the second mechanical locomotive to be taken out of the hangar.
- The second locomotive's mission is to push the first train on the circuit to complete a second loop.

4. Illustration and description:
- The back of the box has an illustrated design showing the assembled circuit and explaining its functions.
- The box lid features a stunning 1900 image of a mechanical train circuit, complete with amazed children and their mother.

In summary, this original boxed Karl Bub train circuit from the 1900s includes several elements such as the mechanical locomotives, the wagon, the rails, the switch, and the hangar. Its operation allows successive loops to be carried out thanks to the coordination between the two locomotives.

This rare and complete toy is a true collector's item.
